Frustrated Safari Owner Forcibly Shutters Tata Dealership After Endless Issues On SUV [Video]

In most cases where a brand-new vehicle consistently gives its owner a headache after not functioning properly, most people just complain at the dealership. However, there are some people who, after crying for help for a long time, take things into their own hands. Recently, one such extremely frustrated and infuriated Tata Safari owner had to take an extreme step. It has been reported that this particular owner, along with his friends, closed the shutters of a Tata Motors dealership in Jamshedpur and started a strike.
This video, in which the angry Tata Safari owner told all the issues that he has been facing with his new vehicle, has been shared on YouTube by Mashal News on their channel. It starts off with the owner of the Tata Safari mentioning that he bought his top-of-the-line Dark Edition Safari for Rs 32 lakh back in January of 2024. He then elaborated that ever since then, he has faced numerous issues.
During the interview, the owner of the Tata Safari from Jamshedpur mentioned that once he was returning from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, with his entire family. However, after reaching Sasaram in Bihar, his vehicle completely stopped while the speed was 100 kmph. He added that thankfully, there was no other truck or vehicle behind. Else, there would have been a massive accident.
After this, he highlighted that he had to send his family home on a bus. The owner added that his old grandfather, who is barely able to walk, was made to sit on the bus. Following this, the vehicle was taken to a Tata dealership in Gaya, and the brake switch for his vehicle was changed.
The next issue, which the owner had reported, was that just one month later, the entire fan belt assembly of his SUV had to be changed. Following this, the vehicle was used for two months, and once again, the entire air conditioning system and other controls and electronics of the vehicle stopped working. He added that the Safari was then left at the dealership for a few days.
Moving on, the frustrated owner continued that after these services, he took his SUV to Gangtok. However, the brakes of his vehicle failed, along with the speedometer, air conditioning, and other functions, which stopped working. The vehicle was then again sent to the dealership. He then added that after getting the vehicle, they wanted to go to Spiti Valley. But just after reaching Shimla, the vehicle's gearbox malfunctioned.
The owner highlighted that the vehicle was taken to Solang at JP Motors, where the entire gearbox assembly was changed. He elaborated that after getting mentally harassed for so long, he did not take the vehicle for 4 months. But after getting assured by the officials, he went to take delivery of the vehicle.
Unfortunately, just after driving for 200 km, the vehicle once again suffered from the same gearbox failure. He added that they somehow brought the vehicle to Jamshedpur, where it was again sent to the dealership. The owner stated that he was then called on June 20th to pick up the vehicle.
However, when he reached two days after the date, his vehicle was still not finished, and the entire wiring harness of the interior was opened without his permission. He added that this unauthorised work was done at around 9 p.m., after working hours.
Frustrated with this vehicle and the poor after-sales service of Tata Motors, the owner, along with his friends, came and pulled down the shutter of the Tata Motors dealership in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. He added that he and his friends will protest until he receives a new car and the money which he lost during the entire ownership. In the video, we can note that despite the police and media being present, the dealership’s shutters were closed.
