India's own Ultraviolette Automotive (UV) recently made big headlines by going global. It an event organized in Paris, near the Eiffel tower, the company announced its entry into the European market. Following the official announcement, the team took a ride around the city. Later, CEO Narayan Subramaniam shared a heartfelt note about the Europe debut and their time in Paris, which went straight into the hearts of performance enthusiasts and ambitious youngsters. Now, another post shared on LinkedIn by the CEO himself is garnering attention and praise. Subramaniam talks about how he was surprised when a German cop checked out the F77 and was impressed by its styling.
The company has started operations in 10 European countries including Germany and France. Actor-turned-investor Dulquer Salmaan, who is an early backer of the brand, had previously admitted that Ultraviolette could go global sooner than expected and said that he takes pride in the same. UV sees Germany as an important market, and this adds more significance to the validation by the cop.
Narayan says that he was stopped by the German police while riding an F77 finished in Afterburner Yellow. In his post, the CEO explains that it wasn't for a violation that he was asked to pull over. The cops, instead, got curious about the F77, and wanted to have a closer look at it. 'Not an inspection, but genuine appreciation' he says.
A video embedded in the post shows the cops walking to the bike, and checking it out. Narayan can be seen explaining the design, features and engineering that it packs, to one of them. The cop seems to be impressed by these, and is likely excited about the product as well. He even gets on the saddle and clicks pictures with the F77. He might have taken it for a spin as well.
The post further recounts how Germany is known for its top-class engineering and magnificent products. The brands from this country have already set benchmarks in the two-wheeler and four-wheeler spaces. The CEO thus considers the cop's appreciation a recognition of the countless hours, late nights and sheer dedication his team had put into the project since inception.
With his spectacular team, Narayan wanted to create a motorcycle that is global-ready, something which can appeal to potential crowds in countries with strong automotive game, like Germany. In his closing remarks, Narayan thanked his team for making the same possible, for making something that managed to get a German motorcycle enthusiast excited...
